Acclaimed Chef Cooking Classes

Learn New Skills at Our Hershey, PA Inn

We bring you an artist in the preparation of incredible food. You will return home from your Pennsylvania culinary getaway with new knowledge, eager to try out what you have added to your cooking repertoire. Check in on the first evening (typically Friday) of the scheduled two-day stay.  Enjoy an evening out on your own at any of our exceptional area restaurants. Rosalie will be most happy to make suggestions for you based upon your tastes for food and entertainment. Rosalie knows several acclaimed chefs who come to the inn to create the class!

Regardless of the menu, this is not a demonstration. Instead, our classes are participatory, and right along with the chef, you will be slicing, dicing, sautéing…and tasting.  If you enjoy wine, we always make that a part of the experience at our Hershey, PA cooking class.

End the Day with a Delicious Meal

Partway through, we stop for refreshments Rosalie has created. Later in the afternoon, participants leave to go to their rooms to freshen up and relax before dinner. They then come back to one of the dining rooms where Rosalie has set a lovely table…and they sit down to a scrumptious dinner they helped create! What a perfect way to cap off a terrific day of learning!

A Complete Culinary Experience

Our Acclaimed Chef Cooking Class package includes chef’s instruction and time, gourmet dinner, recipes, embroidered Annville Inn Bed & Breakfast apron, inn’s time and services: From $350 per person (up to four). Lodging (two-night minimum) is additional.

As one student told us, “We don’t know how you do all this for such a great price…we spend that just going out to dinner with wine at a fine restaurant! This is such a great value!”

Previously, Rosalie will have made arrangements to bring together a menu that will include items you would like to learn to create. For example, some attendees have requested a class on baking.  Others a class on all kinds of appetizers, or French or Italian or Mexican cuisines, as well as instruction on specialty items.

Your chef will take you through some kitchen basics first, and then move on to creating multiple dishes. You will also be given the chef’s or Rosalie’s private recipes for the dishes you prepare, so you can go home and impress your friends and family!

Start the ball rolling, call us directly: 717.867.1991 (we suggest a minimum of 60 days lead time to ensure Chef’s availability and coordinate schedules.)

We’re “foodies” and have been to about 30 cooking classes or demonstrations in as many years. Some from famous TV chefs that charge 10 times what you charge, and only for about an hour’s worth of time in their presence. At Annville Inn, we not only experienced your world class Inn (no wonder it was suggested to us by friends in Belgium, we couldn’t believe they were in Europe and recommending a country inn in Pennsylvania, but they knew about you!!!!), we also experienced the best innkeeper whose attention to detail and whose bright and warm and most sincere greeting put us at east immediately. The best of the best. Then…the cooking class—again, hands down…the best cooking class we have EVER attended. Not a lecture or demonstration, but we worked right alongside Chef Lisa. She and Rosalie are both amazing at culinary arts. Lisa started out with kitchen sanitation, knife skills, and other specifics other chefs in other towns had barely touched on. From Rosalie’s warm and sincere greeting and her beautiful smile and voice to the sad parting when we had to leave, we have had the very best of best experiences. - Tom & Sylvia
