This Year, Celebrate New Years at Annville Inn
Celebrate New Years at Annville Inn. Guests often use Annville Inn as their “anchor.” After enjoying the New Years Eve crowds and celebrations, they retreat to bask in the quiet, solitary comfort of our country inn.
This Year, Celebrate New Years at Annville Inn
Throughout our area, every town “drops” something for New Years. From giant yellow pants (breeches) to a mechanic’s wrench (in Mechanicsville) to a big strawberry (Harrisburg) to a giant bologna in Lebanon, and a large Hershey’s Chocolate Kiss in Hershey, there is plenty to see and do.
Celebrate New Years Eve at Annville Inn: Here are some of the New Years events in our area:
Lebanon, just east of Annville Inn: Bologna Drop
The City of Lebanon will ring in 2025 with the annual New Year’s Eve Bologna Drop. The event will be held on South Eighth Street between Chestnut and Cumberland streets. Music by D.J. Jim Payne will be provided from 10 p.m. until midnight. The bologna drop will be donated by Seltzer’s Smokehouse Meats and admission is free.
Heaters will be placed sporadically in the event space, in case the dancing doesn’t warm you up! Visit Lebanon Valley has provided free glowsticks for the first 500 attendees and “Smokey” from Seltzer’s Smokehouse Meats will be handing out free samples.
For your added benefit, Cool Beans Brews coffee truck will have some hot java choices for purchase. The bologna will be attached to a disco ball which will be on public display beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Seltzer’s Smokehouse Meats, America’s oldest such enterprise, founded over 120 years ago, will produce the bologna for the event. Following the festivities, Seltzer’s will donate the bologna to the Lebanon Rescue Mission.
Hershey, a few miles southwest of Annville Inn: Kiss Raise
Hershey is hosting its Kiss Raise on New Year’s Eve. As the long-standing tradition goes, when the clock strikes midnight, Hershey will raise the Kiss. According to Hershey, the finale will be accompanied by a laser and pyrotechnics display.
At 8:30 p.m., the Hershey Characters join for the final bubble wrap stomp and a dance party.
Music performers take the main stage beginning at 9 p.m. Headlining this year’s event is Pennsylvania quartet and TikTok sensation Burn the Jukebox, performing crowd-pleasing pop and rock hits spanning over five decades along with their original alt-rock songs.
Garnering millions of social media followers, more than 1 million streams, and packing shows nationwide, the group recently embarked on their first headlining national tour, including opening for rock icons The Struts in Harrisburg in October 2024.
The six-person cover bad Fully Stocked opens for Burn the Jukebox, delivering high energy and fun rock and pop songs from the 1970s to today.
To round out the evening, at 11:59 p.m., MC Denny Logan (WNNK 104.1) and the Hershey Characters will count down to the HERSHEY’S KISS raise.
