The Hershey Symphony Orchestra
The Hershey Symphony Orchestra has been earning rave reviews for over five decades. Annville Inn has many Guests who plan their trip to the Inn around the Hershey Symphony Orchestra’s schedule. This way, they combine a relaxing stay in the quiet, peaceful countryside, complimented by a worldclass symphony experience in a theatre built by Milton Hershey to rival Radio City Music Hall.
Here in the valley, we are blessed with a number of exceptional symphony orchestras. Among them all, the Hershey Symphony Orchestra has earned a legion of fans, including some who travel great distances to attend the annual Orchestra Gala.
The Symphony Orchestra is the largest volunteer orchestra in the nation. Some of its members are professional musicians who volunteer for the Orchestra. Many are serious volunteers yet are professional grade musicians who have been approved after an in-depth audition.
The Hershey Symphony Orchestra’s Director, Gregory Woodbridge, is one of the organization’s paid professionals. He became Music Director and Conductor in 2023. Maestro Woodbridge has an impressive background.

Being a “volunteer orchestra”, the Hershey Symphony does not need to be concerned with musician’s union dues and related issues. Because the musicians are dedicated serious musicians that want to make the presentations of the orchestra absolutely perfect—the Orchestra can have some sections larger than most professional orchestras. This phalanx of enthusiastic, highly qualified musicians allows the Hershey Symphony Orchestra to provide its audiences with exemplary concerts.
