In the Book Bar, owner Brittany creates an atmosphere, reflecting academia-inspired spaces, that offers places to relax and unwind with a good book; in addition, you can augment that experience with an enjoyable sip of your favorite beverage.
The Owner
Brittany launched the Book Bar near Annville Inn in the fall of 2023. She has a lengthy background in the book business. “Owing to my passion for reading, which started in my childhood and endured into adulthood, I studied English and Spanish literature at university. I then interned at various independent publishing companies and started my career at an academic book publisher, where I focused my efforts on marketing, author relations, and e-Book sales, but my soft spot for fiction and physical books endured. With this in mind, after careful consideration, it finally felt like the right time for me to make a leap and start my bookstore adventure.”
Books, coffee and More
The Book Bar, nearly 2,400 square feet of bliss, is located less than 14 minutes from Annville Inn. According to Brittany, “We are, first and foremost, a new and gently used bookstore focusing on fiction, with a dash of other genres available.” The fully stocked coffee bar features a local coffee roaster from Annville, Cleona Coffee Roasters, who also provides Annville Inn with fresh, delicious espresso!
