Independence Day Fireworks Near Hershey Pa. for free in all places listed by this blog. Coleman Memorial Park offers an excellent experience. Rain date 7/5. The Lebanon County Concert Band plays beginning at 8: P.M. at the viewing area, which is located in lower parking lots near ball fields. Our Family’s U.S. Military History
Nearly everyone’s family has members who either are presently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces or have in the past. Both Rosalie, Your Innkeeper, and Craig come from military families, and our Inn is in the former home of acclaimed WWII General Bruce Kendall, a 4-Star General. In celebration of our freedom and independence, and recognizing the brave men and women of our U.S. Military, we are sharing photos of Craig and Rosalie’s fathers; both served in WWII. All of our father’s brothers served during WWII as well. Rosalie’s father had five brothers and all six served!
Our family (like most families) have many, many American Heros throughout the generations who have served. We are showing only three of many from our family. Top image, Craig’s father, Chad. Bottom left, Rosalie’s father, C.A. Bottom right, our nephew, Luke, who has served multiple duty stations all over the world in the U.S. Marines as well as a period of time in the U.S. Navy. Following these photos, our Blog continues with two more sites to enjoy Independence Day Fireworks located near Annville Inn.
Union Canal Park, Independence Day Fireworks Near Hershey, Pa.
- Union Canal Boat Tour:
- Only minutes from Annville Inn.
- World’s longest continually operated transportation tunnel.
- You park in the Union Canal parking lot and the canal is right there. You can board a canal boat and take a pleasant short excursion up through the tunnel, out the other side and then back again. {Small fee.}
- Slow, leisurely pace of a bygone era. From the park, they say there is an excellent view of the fireworks, at least the ones up in the sky. This will be the place most likely to have the smallest crowds as it is not as large a venue as Coleman Park.
