Annville Inn News
A man standing beside an EV Charging Point, charging his vehicle.
Our FIRST EV ChargePoint user, Brian & the 1st automobile to get a charge at Annville Inn, his Mustang!

We are always innovating, updating, and doing everything we can to make experiences at Annville Inn the “best memory ever!”   This month we announce the completion of a project we have worked on since late last year:  EV Charging for Guests’ electric vehicles!  Available around the clock.

This project was made possible by BMW, DSG, Select Registry and Annville Inn Bed & Breakfast. The ChargePoint Charging Station can charge any automobile and utilizes the official ChargePoint app, or one of their cards, also known as a “RFID Card” (Radio Frequency ID).

Anniversary!

Memorial Day Remembrance

Famous WWII 4-Star General, Bruce Kendall

This Memorial Day Month, we honor 4-Star General Bruce Kendall.  After an amazing career, he built his retirement home. We converted it to Annville Inn July 5, 2005!  Not a day goes by that we don’t think of the General and all the amazing special touches he put into our building!

Bloom of a

Dutchman’s Pipes!  A unique plant thriving in our Butterfly Garden. Planted in 2008, it surprised us with the most blooms ever this spring!  Blooms resemble a “Sherlock Holmes” pipe viewed in profile.

Red rose, shown in vase. First bloomer of the season in our Gardens.

Rosa “Chrysler Imperial’

Hybrid Tea, Parent to the Oklahoma Rose.

The first rose among over

600 plants to bloom in our Main Rose Garden this year! (Last year, the winner was the orange rose, ‘King’s Day’ located in the Garden of the Hidden Orange Rose.)

Cooking Classes, Swimming Pool, Beautiful Three Acres of Botanical Gardens, Roses about to spring open, so much going on!

Our Acclaimed Chef Cooking Classes are back in full swing (Our classes take a sabbatical in late summer & winter). This past week, Chef Lisa was here to instruct on Italian cooking, and our Guest said it was, “Michelin 5-Star quality.”  The classes are so much fun, and Chef Lisa makes them especially so.  Please give me a call to schedule our Acclaimed Chef Cooking Class or our Wonderful World of Wines class. Both are available late spring, early summer, and early fall.

◊

Experiences are what people want for gifts, not “things.” Father’s Day is coming up–what a great gift to give parents.  You can present a surprise Gift Certificate (available from our Website or a custom one available by calling me at 717.867.1991). Idea: Acclaimed Chef Cooking Class experience for Dad!

◊

Swimming pool season is here! Our pool is sparkling and ready for Guests to enjoy. Come prepared to splash and relax in the poolCool

◊

We are happy to report that our long awaited ChargePoint EV charger is now installed and ready to “rock & roll.”  Within 12 hours of the system powered up and “on line,” we had two different Guests charging their vehicles.  Truly an idea whose time has come.

◊

The majority of our Guests stay here for relaxation, inspiration and of course…romance (not to mention a great night’s sleep in our oh so comfortable beds and enjoy fabulous candle-lit breakfasts!) ♥

We hope to see you soon!

                   Rosalie

PS: The images in my article this month show “Inn Happenings” and some of spring’s glory in our extensive gardens, tended by our talented and dedicated gardeners.
